“Accept yourself, love yourself, and keep moving forward. If you want to fly, you have to give up what weighs you down.” - Roy T. Bennett
About Me
Hello, I’m Crystal Sloan. My professional background as an Executive Assistant along my experience in therapy have given me a deep appreciation for listening, thoughtful questions, and creating space for vulnerability and growth.
I believe that living a satisfying life begins with understanding your thoughts, emotions, and values - and accepting yourself for exactly who and where you are now, while continuing to strive for more. For much of my life, I struggled with self-defeating beliefs and didn’t know what I truly wanted. Coaching - and doing my own inner work - helped me uncover clarity, confidence, and a path forward.
I grew up in Los Angeles and lived in Australia for several years. For 15 years, I’ve called San Diego home - a home I share with my terrier mix, Ginger, who is an Advanced K9 Good Citizen with therapy dog training. She is a constant reminder to stay present, kind, and grateful.
Outside of coaching, I enjoy reading, music, movies, live comedy, and catching up with friends at the local dog park.
I hold an Erickson Coaching International certificate, am working toward International Coaching Federation (ICF) accreditation, and have pursued certifications and training in Human Resources, Meeting & Event Planning, Communication, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB).
In addition to working with individuals, I offer pro bono coaching hours to local nonprofit organizations, reflecting my belief in giving back and supporting professional development in the community.
My Coaching Style
My coaching style blends straight-forwardness, humor, and empathy - creating sessions that are supportive, warm, and energizing - in a safe and creative space to explore and reflect. Most importantly, I help clients find their inner strength and self-acceptance, knowing that perfection is impossible and that each of us has something uniquely ours to offer - a perspective, a talent, or simply a way of being - that adds genuine value to the world.
I would love to partner with you to clarify your values and priorities, stay accountable to your goals, and move forward with greater self-acceptance as you navigate this unpredictable journey called life.
